Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) for a better relationship with yourself

You may not feel the way you thought you would at this point in life. In spite of career success and meaningful friendships, something still feels off. You want to feel more in control, more fulfilled, or more happiness in your life. You want to have better connections and healthier relationships. But how do you get there?

Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT)

You’re in the right place. In our therapy together, we’ll uncover patterns that keep us subconsciously stuck in places that are no longer working for us. We’ll learn how to better connect to our emotions in a safe way, especially the ones that can feel overwhelming. We’ll work to identify your unique attachment style and understand how it impacts your relationship with yourself and your relationship to others. We’ll heal attachment wounds and move towards healthy and secure relationships. We’ll explore the impact of stress and anxiety on our bodies and find healthy ways to manage them in our lives. We’ll start to feel more connected to ourselves, to the important people in our lives, and to the world around us. This work can be challenging, but ultimately can help alleviate nagging self-doubt, and lead to feelings of strength and empowerment.

Humans are built for connection. Relationships are how we form our sense of self and understand what we can expect from others. Once we understand how our sense of self was formed in our earliest relationships, we can move forward, support ourselves in the present, and begin to form more secure and loving relationships with ourselves, and with others.
