Hi, I’m Olivia.

Emotionally Focused Therapist

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I have 10 years of clinical experience, and I’m trained in Brainspotting, Sensorimotor Therapy, Sex Therapy, mindfulness, and Attachment-Based Therapies.

My work is holistic, rooted in the understanding that the past impacts our present, and that mental wellness is impacted by the way that we not only treat our minds but our bodies and how we interact with our environments. It also pulls from my personal experiences with nutrition, breathwork, and teaching pilates.

I have always been interested in relationships –– what makes them work, what doesn’t, why in one instance they can feel so incredible, and in another, they can feel so devastating. Through my own personal and clinical work, I have seen how early family structures impact how we view ourselves and also permeate into our relationships. Attachment theory provides a framework to better understand these impacts, and also a better way to create healthy and meaningful relationships with ourselves and others.

I am also passionate about education and demystifying mental health for all.

For several years I worked with the San Francisco Sheriff’s Department, developing and facilitating training for officers to educate them on mental illness, and giving them the tools to respond to mental health crisis situations with compassion.

I have served as an adjunct professor at the University of San Francisco’s graduate school of clinical psychology and have trained and mentored therapists early in their careers.

And recently, I developed a unique online dating workshop Swipe the Right Way designed to help individuals find more security and empowerment in dating.

My practice supports all bodies, identities, and relationship structures. We are all deserving of a safe place to heal and move toward healthy relationships. In this vein, I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots to individuals and couples who identify as LGBTQI, BIPOC, or young therapists early in their education and training. Please contact me if you identify in one of these ways and are in need of sliding scale services.
